Is e.c. Done selling mower parts? They don't have that link anymore.

Hello Joe, thanks for this thread. I saw you run in Gun Barrell City this past weekend. That was a nasty spill you took. Very glad to see you were o.k. It was nice to see a thread I have been fallowing and the machine on the track. Look forward to meeting you again i the future.

Is there any official information yet? Like do we have to pay to enter the fair? Special gate we have to go in? Times for everything for the weekend?

Coffee Shop / Home made dyno ideas
« on: September 12, 2016, 09:11:07 am »
Hey guys, I'm looking for ideas on how to make a home made dyno of sorts. I'm not looking for extreme accuracy. Just a way to test motors to see which ones are stronger.

I am thinking something like a treadmill maybe with something like a car altenator attached to it and a read out of how much voltage the alternator  is putting out. In theory stronger voltage would be more hp.
Not sure if that is a valid idea. Let me know what you guys have in mind.

If I could figure out how to post pics I would make a thread with my new build. It always says the pics are too big.

I am building this same chassis. How did yours come out? Any lessons you learned with it you could pass on?

Through process of elimination I have concluded it is a 1996 40708x92A That being said has anyone built one of these? Looks like it should be a pretty easy build.

96 Murray walk through, removable fenders. Looks exactly like the Huskee

Chassis / Murray identification
« on: May 20, 2016, 07:17:36 am »
First, I tried to post a pic but it was too large and I don't know how to scale it down. I am trying to identify a model of a Murray I have that I want to build to a gp.
Pre- wide body, mid 90's
Step thru design-no center tunnel
Removable fenders.
Very very close to the 40702. Only difference is there is no center tunnel.
5 speed manual, shifter thru the fender
Hood has "MURRAY" in raised letters
Hood is flat down the sides, not flared out
Plastic nose but hood body is metal
Has one solid headlight
Originally had 12.5 Briggs and 40" deck

Maybe you guys can just tell me what models they made in the mid 90's and I can do my own homework.

Gearing calculator is still down. Does anyone know the math to come up with final ratio?
