First do some reading.   All the info you need is here.  Just need to dig for it.  Look at the build section.  Lots of good info in there. 

You need to decide where and who you are going to race with.  That will determine what class to build.

I'd recommend starting off in a stock class like GP.   It is popular and you can move up to a modified engine class easily.

I'm not sure what to do with it?
I'm looking to get in to the stock class as a beginner racer and I'm not very sure on just what to build or just how to set it up?
Me being a small engine and an ase certifide automotive and diesel mechanic I could build a really wicked machine.
That all said I never built a race Mower and I'm in need of help and guidance on what class and how to do the proper and legal set up.

I can't tell you the part numbers but there are two different 46ci engines one has the same bore as the 42ci with a longer stroke. The other has the same stroke as the 42ci but a bigger bore. Combine the two different 46ci blocks and cranks and you get nearly 50ci.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Briggs 31C707 build help

I'm new to briggs engines and am wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction for a 31C707 Engine I aquired.  I am currently running a Kohler CV490S and I am getting hammered coming out of the corners.  I have tried different gearing to no luck, I'm either wound out or am lugging pretty bad coming out of the corner.  Everyone seems to be running briggs except one guy running a kawasaki and I'm getting tired of not having enough motor.  I would build up the kohler better but it seems like the parts are more expensive than the briggs so I'm tired of being the oddball of the bunch and am ready to switch to briggs.   I want more punch coming out of the corners without sacrificing top end.  I am open to anything guys.  Thank you again!

Mower Engines & Parts / Vanny 35 CI Intake Manifolds "Worked"

I have 2 Intake manifolds that are illegal for my use due to them being ground and polished too far past specs. These are professionally done and help tremendously by blending the runners to increase flow.

I dont have pictures but i may be able to text or message one if interested.  $100 each
