Non-Affiliated Races / New Race/Announcements Section
« on: January 25, 2008, 05:13:45 am »
Due to the traffic in the old "Lawnmower Races" section I have broken the section up into topical categories.

The Non Affiliated section should not be used to post any further USLMRA, ARMA, or Related Event Announcements, and your existing announcements in that section need to be moved to the appropriate section ASAP.  In about a week or so, I will begin culling the Non Affiliated section of all threads that should be somewhere else.  I'm not moving them, I'm going to lock them and batch-delete them.  So if you want your thread saved, YOU need to move it.  When moving the thread the "re-direct" link option may be used, but re-direct links will be deleted often.

DO NOT post your event in an inappropriate section.  First time, I delete the post.  Second time, I delete your account.

I define non-affiliated as open to any racer, no membership in USLMRA or ARMA required.

Admin Announcements / How to Join this Forum
« on: December 15, 2007, 10:18:04 am »
It is not tough to register.  You MUST have a valid email address to make it happen though and you MUST activate your account by answering an email sent to you from this site.

Here's how it goes down:

Click the red link below to begin registration.

A moderator must approve your registration, and then you will then be sent an activation email and your account is put on hold until you click the link in the email.

If you don't answer the activation email in a few days, we try to send you a reminder.

If you don't answer after 14 days, we delete your account and you will have to register again if you wish to join.

MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL SPAM BLOCKER HAS HEYMOW.COM IN THE SAFE LIST!!!

Some email accounts, like yahoo and hotmail may consider the activation email as spam, so you have to make sure they do not automatically delete spam, and you will have to check your junk email folder for the activation email.  I suggest that you highlight the email and "un-junk it" or mark it as "not spam".

Other Engines / New ARC Racing catalog available for download
« on: March 06, 2007, 01:14:34 pm »
Hi everyone.  All the lawnmower related parts are in it, and I tried very hard to list associated items close to one another.  The file is 4.24MB so if you are on dialup, it will take a bit.

http://www.arcracing.com/ARCcatalog.pdf

The printed version will be available in a few weeks.

Hey Guys,

Unfortunately, the price of brass has doubled since the first run of our counter weight add-ons for the model 19 and model 28 Briggs.  We had to go up $10 on the price of the set on this new run, so the racer price is now $79.95.

Driveline / admin needs a hydro Tranny on grass cutter
« on: September 14, 2006, 01:14:04 pm »
I have one of those Home Depot made by John Deere lawn tractors that has a hydro static drive.  This is the second time the tranny has taken a dump in five years and I would like to get another one.

Does any have one that works that they would want to sell?

Admin Announcements / New Members...Welcome! Spammers...not welcome.
« on: August 13, 2006, 08:46:09 pm »
Becoming a member is free.  All new members must be activated by an administrator before they can post.  We try very hard to get activations done ASAP and almost always within a day.

The reason we had to do this is that there has been a recent jump in the number of people joining for no other reason but to advertise undesireable goods and services that have nothing to do with this sport, to the members.  Those users will not be activated, and furthermore, if they should happen to slip through, they will be delt with quickly.

So if you are a spammer, don't waste your time here.

I am not trying to discourage any lawnmower racing related advertising on this site.  If you make or sell something that is related to lawnmower racing, please let us know about it in the appropriate section.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Model 28 ARC rod in OHV model 28????
« on: January 23, 2006, 02:27:47 pm »
Hey guys, please help me.  I had a customer call me and ask if our #6280 model 28 rod will work in the model 28 OHV engine.  I think it can because if memory serves me correct, the 28OHV is little more than a flathead with an OHV head on it.

Thanks,
Tom
