Title: Thinner headgaskets worth it?
Post by: panteramatt on May 03, 2018, 07:30:38 am
Will I notice a power improvement on my vanny using the thinner copper headgaskets? I know it will increase compression but by how much? Just seeing if its worth the trouble switching to them.

If you raise the compresion you will have more power but with copper gaskets you should "O" ring the heads we used 14.5 to ! compression and made about 80 hp with a 38 cu in Vanny and won the All American in 2008 when I helped Ryan Kerr but we ran that engine up to 13000 rpm  We used a flat piston and the heads were 22 CCs
