On a Tecumseh single can you drill the two rear mounting holes all the way through and use a nut and bolt? I'm having trouble keeping it secured.

I'm fairly new at this and there are no adjustments on a Tecumseh carb. How would I deliver more fuel to it. Bigger jet?

Carb is clean as a whistle
new fuel pump
new plug and correct gap.  Also maybe running a little lean looking at the plug
unsure of cht since my lead broke
it doesnt fall on its face at all. Just a momentary hiccup every now and again.

I have a well built 17.5 and I have noticed that it has a small miss between 5-6k rpm. Any ideas on what this could be?

In the fall go to local high schools and have a show and tell with the shop class. Have them build some mowers.
Also ask the retirees to either donate or sponsor another driver with their mowers.

For all of you who have had problems buying items on here or anywhere else, I just wanted to take a second and say that Larry is a stand up guy. I recently purchased a Digatron tach from him  on here for a good price. Larry shipped it very quickly and when received, it was in better shape than described by Larry. Have no fear from ever purchasing anything from him.  Thanks again Larry.

So the 16 is just gonna come up too short.  I was afraid of that. Maybe I will be able to find something else. Thank you for the input

We races under uslmra rules and it would be in a B/P class. I know bigger is better but the 30 ci is what I got.

I'm needing some advice on my sons mower.  We run on a track that has 150ft. Straight aways and his set up is a stock motor with a 7 inch pulley going to a 4 inch on a 700 tranny with 13 tooth sprocket to 48 tooth sprocket on rearend. His rear tires are 16-7.50x8. When he comes out of a corner it takes him all of the straight away to build his rpm's to 4100 range. I need a little lower gear. Would using a 14 tooth on the tranny fix this issue, or any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He constantly finishes 2nd or 3rd out of 6 to 8 mowers.  We need a little more.

I have a very well built 12.5 that my son in law drives but we toyed with the idea of swapping classes. Now I consider myself A good crew chief, mechanic and awesome CFO for our two mowers.( my son is my other driver). But when it comes to taking parts from one and altering them to fit something else, well now this is where I bow my head and admit defeat. We run the in c\p with the flatty and a are mid pack runners only because we do not have a s\p class. The other is a super sport.  We are building our third with the hopes of recruiting a driver. (Me) wife dont know yet. With all this said, it was just a thought while cutting grass. I. Do appreciate the answers.
