This tractor was built and posted in the builds section... but i just wanted to get some oppinions on it... i really respect all your guys oppinions please let me hear them... i did have my first race this weekend and it drives like a dream! handles superwell for my first one for being almost 10 hp under everyone else and i ended up winning but just because one of the other tractors throttle cables broke... im not about winning that way but i did beat the same tractor in a previous heat because he spun out... but all in all it was a great time and i think we are getting more and more people into mower racing... but none the less let me know what you think

Nifty little grill support... it really takes the stress of the mtd plastic grille

Had to be professional lol...

ctown75s tractor... 25 hp kohler command keep in mind i was running a 16 vannie both stock and i kept a good lead

ok guys i have searched high and low for a place to start for pulleys for a peerless 820 with a 017 kit the only post i have found on this is old goats post saying he runs a one to one ratio and runs in fourth gear i was going to try to run in 3rd but i have 6 in pulley on the motor and a 6 on the bottom of the jack shaft and i just need some thoughts on the top i was told the 017 kit should be run at a 2:1 ratio with like a 6 on the motor and a 12 on the trans but that doesnt seem right to me but please any tips on where to start would be great im running a stock ungov'd v twin until i get a 12.5 flatty built for s/p any tips are greatly appreciated... also im running 16/7.50s on the rear thanks again

Racing Mower Builds / My first legal racing mower build
« on: December 13, 2009, 12:34:45 pm »
Hi im pretty new to this site as far as posting but i have been looking around on here for quite a while... Well like the title says im building an arma/uslmra legal tractor with just a stock motor for now to run around in the yard with my friends... im still in college and dont have alot of money coming my way so this will probably take a while but i want to do it right... i would like to build it so it will be legal when i get out of school in a couple years so dad and i can race together... we have a long history in tractor pulling and we gave up on that because there was alot goin on here at home but things are slowing down and i wanna go fast lol... any ideas and/or comments on what/how i am doing are greatly appreciated and will be taken with thanks and consideration...

This is what i am starting with... the tires are just there... i plan on scrounging up some aluminum ones all the way around

Got the rear end all welded up

Seat brackets welded on. Had to look on here to see how big of tube george uses for fender spacing... Got the 3/4 square out in the garage

Dash and steering support.

With the dash on im out of tube... its not totally done yet
