Briggs Flathead / Opposed Twin rods and pistons
« on: January 15, 2017, 04:50:33 pm »
I am putting together my opposed 42 .
I know it may have been asked but I don't see anything.
I have ARC rods and 28ci pistons the rods have dot marks on them do they need to go in one way.
And the arrows on the pistons go towards the flywheel. Is there a number 1 and 2 rod. This is my first build just looking for some help.
Thanks

When I send something to a company, I like to use the company name, and direct it to a person, or department.
I still do not see why it didn't make it.

Yup that is the one.
Then as everyone has said, upgrade brakes and steering!
After that, to go REAL fast, you need to get ahold of Tim Isky at www.smallenginecams.com  ;)
Port, polish, etc etc

Rooster,
Do you know if this link is still good to get a hold of Tim?
I called the # on the site and it just keep ringing...
Thanks

I did so looking and can't seem to find the answer ..
Do you have to replace the starter to use the ARC flywheel ?
If so why is that? Trying to help a friend get started and that
is the motor he is going to run..Sorry it is a Twin..
Thanks
