went to race and we started having trouble with the motor breaking down. so we put 3 different coils on left bank of engine 3 new plugs  adjusted valves adjusted airspace on coil then noticed while reving it up the left exhaust was comin out cold let it idle and was as warm as the right side i know i always ask the stupid stuff so i thought id pile this on to has anybody run across this before :confused:

im kinda new at this and also love to try and all the stuff i can can you enlarge the hi speed jets in a nikki two barrel carb and has anyone got any pics that will show me the hi speed jet i got a pretty good idea which it is the one in the plastic but im not sure

quick question we are running a 22 hp intek  i have accumulated a cam out of a 25 hp if we put the 25 cam in the 22 will it help with performance or will it be a waste of time

buddy has a craftsman mower with a 25 hp on it. he was cutting grass with it and after about thirty minutes of running a flame was was blowingout of muffler and stopped to see what was going on and it died and would not start 2nd time this has happened  any ideas  thanks  Bo

ok im new to small engines and im confused we are running a 22 hp intek now my question is will a camshaft out of a 25 hp intek make more power or are the cams the same also what about swapping carbs? also can someone explain what yall are calling 38 or 40 or 44 im lost as ball in high weeds i guess what im asking is by changing the cam or carbs will it give me more power

got a question guys first v twin i ever had  took carb apart cleaned it up good now the big question on top of the carb is two little plastic caps that look like some kind of adjustment is that something the government made the manufacturers put on them. also on the bottom close to the fuelshutoff solenoid is an adjustment looks like the lowspeed adjustment, anyhow how doyou adjust the carb and how many turns and on which screws

we have a 0134-E3 17.s   that willnot go past the compression stroke, ive adjusted the valves. changed starters batteries and etc. we are using it to race a lawnmower . i took the bottom off the engine and the compression release  is still intact. last night we adjusted the valve and it turned over perfect this morning cranked ok, but now were back to the comp stroke.ive even tried zero valve lash but didnt help looked and the comp releas still intact but it will not start.oh yeah we advanced the timing 3 degrees  so i  decided i needed some adult input im only 48 but tuih thing is a pain in my butt   anybody got any ideas

is it better to use a dial indicator to advance timing or use the off set keys what do you recommend as to how far to advance it i was thinking from 3 to 5 * im a newby to lawnmower racing but any help would be appreciated
