I need some help I bought a Bandelero vanguard engine it's a 35 horizontal shaft when I pulled the heads off it's got flattop pistons not like the regular stock vanguards with the dish Pistons are these have different rod Lengths  than the stock do these require the stock of arc rods or do they require the longer arc rods like if you cut the dish off the Pistons

building up my engine its a stock at this point with .030 under heads with ec springs and retender

im looking for help with is the best parts form the best places to build a good 60plus hp engine with out braking the bank
 how big can I bore the cyls
is their a stoker kit for the crank
can I get longer rods with flat top pistons
what is the best cam the will not snap
and anything else any help would be better

sorry that I didn't repost but I found a crack in the left hand exhaust valve. I only found it after the engine was hot and put my bore scope in

ok I have a 35cu vanny with
arc flywheel set at 2 1/2 marks off -
ec big bore that I have cleaned
ec cam
arc rods .100 over
.100 cut pistons
Dual valve springs
valve lash is .003 all four
new e3 plugs .023 gap
new coils at .040 gap
new diod wire
new fuel pump
new fuel filter

mower runs like crap pops and misfires will nice at times then will loss all power stalls out when racing then starts right back up

can any one help me?  im throwing money at it at this poiont :bash: :bash:

Idk what it was but I cleaned the card reset coil gap put 2 new e3 plugs in it gaped them reset lash and runs way better

On my vanny with a ec carb my right size is lean and my left side is ok maybe a little rich but not bad mostly up in the rpm it has a skip like around 7000 Amy one come a crossed this be four

My coils don't fit with the new flywheel and brackets the ground wire is hitting the brig

You need exhaust and the mower Hot to get a good read and flicking the throttle is not good ez up the rmps

Ps it looks like rich seeing the flames coming out
