so you use arc's long rod just like if you were gonna cut the factory piston but instead of factory piston you use the 40ci intek piston is this right

for the backyard machinest like me lol i use a bench grinder to cut it down then i polish it up for the base circle and then i get the lifters out and build them up with my wielder and then i grind a little at a time till the lash is right and then i take a drimal and smoth out any ruff places in them and it works realy well for what it is its not as good as a real race cam but it will work faily well till you can afford one

nope you need the rods and retainer caps and keepers so it don't go boom you'll need alot more if you want it to go fast. a good cam some bigger valves (my opinoin) good port job cut pistons roller rockers or aluminum shaft rockers a good carb  this should get you started lol

ok our classes from start to finish

kids stock - remove blades install kill switch and go
super stock- has to be a single flathead remove gov. lock frontend .change pulleys add gas petal
stock flathead- prepared chassis has to be stock sigle flathead
mod. flathead- prepared chassis build motor how ever you see fit
oppy class - prepared chassis build motor how you wand
single ohv less than 30ci- prepared chassis build motor how you want
single ohv over 30ci- prepared chassis build motor how you want
we have a legends class - over 55 in age must be a sigle ohv less than 30ci or sigle flathead
we have a powder puff class- must be a woman motor is sigle ohv less than 30ci or sigle flathead
then is the classes i already told you our chassis rules are diff. from yours ours can be extended in lenth up to 60" from spendal to axle
and can be 42"wide you can bring your left wheel in as far as you want and your right out as far as you can within 42" outside of tire to outside of tire our fames can be tube frames in all classes except kids stock, super stock, and stock flathead. you can cut the frame and do what ever you want it has to be a min. of 2" off the ground at lowest part of mower exsaust and steering not counted you can run the steering how you want on mine we made a dash out of tubeing and run the steereing over the motor to a rack mounted in front you can use stock brakes but they have to work before each race at tech or you can upgrade to any other brake you can run a centrifucal clutch in all classes but the kids and superstock if anyone has any ? shoot me a pm or post it and i will be glad to answer
our website is www.allegahanymowerracingaccoiation.com cheak spellin it may not be speelled right

thats why we do our classes by ci we setup two days about a month before the season starts and pump any v-twins that have broke the seal from the year before if the seal is still intak we don't pump it. it keeps people from cheating and makes the races alot more equal. our classes are
34.5ci and less
34.5ci to 38ci
38ci to 46.5ci
and the open class is for all side shaft motors and all above 46.5ci

in our case 99% of our racer are with in a hour drive of our home track i relize that this would be very hard for a country wide group such as arma or uslamra but it works good for us then you don't have a 14hp vanny trying to run with a big idian or intek plus it gives you more classes for people to build for and in return we avg. 180 to 225 mowers per event

that is a huge cam lol ok what do you think about this combo

arc long rods
cut pistons or je pistons
cheata cam
ec roller rockers
arc wheel
send the heads to es and let them put bigger valves in them and do the port work dual springs  and billet retainer caps
make a two barrel intake so it don't go in a circle before it gets to the head
get a 23hp vanny nikki or tikki carb with all the good stuff done by ex you do all this and i am willing to bet that you will have a real screamer on your hands i think i have covered all the bases on this anyone see anything else that can be done
