Title: Help with a Peerless Trans
Post by: tommy23490 on October 16, 2017, 06:09:30 pm
I just picked up a Peerless Model 730a under that it says 10101555. Can anyone tell me anything about it. I've been googling my butt off and can't find anything on it. It is a 5 speed and came off a Bolen 2028. Any help would be appreciated very much. Thanks Tommy

It is going to be like any other 700. Put a needle bearing and seal in the bottom, gear oil, take out all reverse parts, and breather.

Mine is splined different than all the others I've seen. Can someone explain? I posted a Link. I think it worked.

THAT IS JUST A FINE SPLINE SHAFT IS ALL IT IS. YOU CAN STILL GET THE HUBS FOR THE FINE SPLINES. IF THE SPLINES WORRY YOU, IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO FIND THE SHAFT WITH OTHER SPLINES YOU CAN AND JUST REPLACE THEM WITH EACH OTHER.

36 spline like the one you have is the most popular transmission.EC sells some nice 36 spline quick change hubs and spockets for them
