Cast aluminum, the aftermarket like from ARC or EC carb are billet.

Unless you want a ventilated block I would put billet rods in it. Stockers are only good to 3650 rpm's.

It shouldn't. I would be concerned about the connecting rod, and the flywheel. Steel would defiantly be stronger!

Most rules say where the engine goes! And that usually is the stock location. There is not much room to move things around a lot, so it probably won't make a lot of difference.

Yes that is from here! The lawnmower racing is winding down. Not sure why, it's a low cost form of competitive motorsports. Plus it's fun! Facebook came along just to keep up with the times.
Here in Michigan we only have one track left, and that really is sad.

The magnet might have to much clearance. I didn't know you can change magnets on a flywheel like that. That concerns me that the magnet could come apart. Be very careful with that.

When George Herrin passed this place got quiet, when Bert passed it got a lot quieter. Yes you both are correct this is a great place to learn, sell stuff, and have a good time!

Good luck finding one with a 5" pulley. You're going to have to get creative for that!
