well i just want to know if they would be any good for racing if they are and thing like the onan opposed twin that dominated around my area a few years ago. i race with carolina mower racing association formally AMRA and i like doing stuff a little un-ordinary than the next briggs guy dont get me wrong i like my briggs and kohlers but i just want to do something different

It would probably work in a governed class. There is no performance parts out there for them. You would have to have the parts all special made or try and match stuff up. The other thing is trying to find just normal parts sometimes is tuff for the onans. I believe they were bought out by Cummings. But to help you out more we would need to know why class you plan on running. Hope this helps.

if its not the same or darn near it i have them both sitting next to one another the only thing i see that is different was the onans doesnt have the fuel shut off solenoid.
