So did I, I gave up and used tubes, trick is to use the correct size tube. Or you might try some of the tire sealants out there.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY WHAT THE TIRE STORES USE. IT IS LIKE A BLACK ADHESIVE, SOME AUTO PARTS STORE SELL IT TO.

I use to sand the lip of the rim where the tire and rim meet and use grease, any king of grease will do just grease the rim really well and the tire should seal up

Don't use any petroleum products on the bead of a tire, it breaks down the rubber. Murphys is what I've used for years and never had a problem.

I've honestly never had any trouble with the grease method, I learnt this trick from my gradpa who was a mechanic for 40+ years, and as far as a tire goes most tires have petroleum in the process of making a tire

I have has good success with using black silicone.  Run a small bead where the tire will sit.  Then pop the tire on the bead and the silicone fills any potential leak points.  no leaks around the rim yet

What kind if wheels? I've had more troubles getting them off than sealing on good wheels?
Bead sealer works great.
