Driveline / determine belt size

How do I determine belt size after my pulley swap? I have my old belt and can measure it and will measure my pulleys when I get a chance but wasnt sure if there was a simple way to determine without measuring the whole route... thanks for any and all help

I tore down my first transaxle and going to weld it up today but I would like to know what should I put back in for a lubricant its going to be in a drag/play mower.... thanks for any and all input

Tires / 16x6.5-8 on 8x7 wheels

Found a set of 16x6.5-8 tires and 8x7 wheels would I have any problems running this combo for a c/p for my first build?

Driveline / lowering help (flipping transaxle)

I am working on my first build I'm pretty good with fab work and would rather flip my axle than ran a jackshaft I was wondering what all I will have or need to do to flip the axle to lower the mower obviously a welder and angle iron are a must I plan on running 16x6.5-8 tires so I'm just not sure how much clearance I will have and if ill need to modify my fenders any and all input is appreciated good or bad thanks

I've read the uslmra rules and I'm not finding if I can use a stock front axle or not I'm building my first mower and would like to run the super stock class thanks for any and all input

Driveline / peerless questions

I just got my first mower and I am wondering what oil or lube I should use in the trans axle it is a peerless the guy built the mower and didn't fully get to finish it so I'm taking over and hopefully it makes a good first mower for me
I was also wondering if automatic transmission fluid would hurt them that is what we used to put in out rear ends on our garden tractors when we pulled any and all info is greatly appreciated thanks

Drag Mowers / drag mower or circle track mower??? help decide please

My buddy and I are in the slow process of building racing mowers but are not sure whether we should build drag mowers or roundy round mowers.... don't have much money either so cheaper is better in my case also that and I think the drag mowers would allow more for the things I know how to do mechanical wise... any and all input and info good or bad is greatly appreciated... thanks for looking guys and gals

Hey Im new to the sport/hobbie so any and all input would be greatly and very much appreciated so give me advice ideas and hints on any and all tricks you may have... the build will be a slow process I due to Im a poor guy tryin to do a somewhat cheap sport.... I will post pics as I go when possible... ok now info about the mower it is an older montgomery ward that has a flathead briggs. The tractor also has a single speed transaxle I know its probably not the best to use but Ive got some ideas of how to get my speed power and torque with my gearing..
