« on: August 08, 2011, 07:14:23 pm »
OK guys with super mods do you all think that it is a must to have beadlocks on the rear? Has anyone had problems with tires popping off the bead of a non beadlock wheel? I just dont want to find out on my own the hard way! Thanks

« on: April 23, 2009, 06:35:24 pm »
Here are some pictures of my new ride.I didnt take alot of pictures as I was building so here is what I have.Sorry these are not in any kind of order.

This is the back of it with the body just sitting there. Not much to talk about just thought it looks cool!

A idea I had to keep the frame from twisting.Dont know if it will work. What do you guys think?

Took this to show some that asked how tight the trans is to the fender.

My front pulley that I got from EC.

My clutch and trans pulley I got from EC

This is my tranny plate and peerless 700 trans I didnt know if it would work it is really close to the axle!I got a tensioner with a gear from EC but I cant use the gear it is to close so I am going to turn down a skateboard wheel or something.

Here is the rolling chassis.I think it turned out ok, not real happy with some of it but it is not something I can talk about here!(front axle)If anyone wants to see some other pictures let me know and I will post them.

Chassis / widebody ride height
« on: March 19, 2009, 07:46:38 pm »
I am trying to install my back axle on my mower but the problem I am having is I cant get the ride height were I want it.I am trying to get it as close to 4" as possible but to get it that low my axle will not go thru the frame it would go above were there would be no support.Plus if I move it up that far my fenders will not fit.I would have to cut so much off it would not be legal. If I run the axle thru the middle of the frame like I think I should my frame height will be 5.75".Is this too high?I am going to be as wide as the rules will allow.Any help would be great.

Briggs Flathead / crank question
« on: March 12, 2009, 08:47:40 pm »
I am building a 28 flatty for my first mower. What I am wanting to know is there a noticable difference in performance between a ballanced crank from G-team and my stock set up with a billet dog bone?I am going to use an ARC billet rod and billet flywheel. My crank does not have removable eccentrics.I would like to have a ballance crank and billet flywheel but right now it is one or the other. And also what rpm can I safely run with my stock crank and billet dog bone? Thanks
