Mower racing made the front page today. I haven't been active with mowers for a few years now but it mentioned a couple names I remember. Overall I thought it was a pretty good and positive article. Mow on.

Look up Hub City. You can find them used from tour bus fan drive applications.

Pull out the spark plug and crank it for a while. Lifters might need pumped up. Check for oil pressure.

I would put a very small radius below the intake valve towords the outside.

I milled my block and head to 10:1 or so, and put a cv18 valvetrain in it. Torque monster.

One thing that worked for me was I drilled the big hole for the input/pinion a little on the tight side and lapped it in, then I drilled the mouting holes.

I put cv18 intake springs and retainers on both sides of my 15.

Heyall. Just checking in. Picked up a CH20 side shaft Kohler twin if anyone can use it. Didn't cost me anything.

I like the old Craftsman II. Great clutch and plenty of room for everything else. The storys about frame cracks are nothing to worry about.

Hi all. I just figured it was time to check in and see how it's going with the Potter Valley crew.
I recently picked up a Murrey/Scotts with a good Kohler twin (CV18), but I'm using it to mow grass right now. I also found a complete Craftsman II like my old green one for $50. If I can scrounge up a 700 I might give it another shot, maybe in time for next year. I'm ready for some fun.

My only real input is Saturdays are better than Sundays.
Paul's dad held the beer permits at the Sonoma County Fair for along time, and he said he would go down there and talk to someone. Never know.
Still can't get my boss to agree to an all out race at our track, but I'm working on it...But we could get away with a few guys doing some test and tune.

Yeah, I'll be there. As far as the perfect mower, well not sure about that. You can tell by looking at the back of the seat that I forgot the wheelie bars.
