Hey all,
I was wondering what would be the best thing for me to do, on my craftsman frame it has C channel section where the axle mounts.

I bought the acme front axle, and there is a gap what would be best for me to fill this gap?

its between 1/2" and 3/4" I have some 1/2 inch square tube left over, could i just weld some pieces together and weld it between them?

I have a 28 series 14.5 ohv,   do I need just the brass weights or the syncro balancer too?

Here is what I'm talking about. The parts in question are outlined in red.

Thanks,
Brian
