Title: Birch Run Expo center
Post by: BIG AL 202 on December 02, 2013, 06:29:58 pm
Who's going and where do I find more info? I figure I would bring it up early [it's Dec 21]. My racer is made for Dirt Devil rules and doesn't really meet US rules to well. [yes safety rules are the same]. Thanks!

Everyone Qualifies.   A B C groups.    If not enough (6 min ) show up.  They break them up into 2 groups on Qualify times.  As long as the mower is safe, they will let your race.

Indoor racing =  Grip     It can bite you when you don't expect it.  One reason i won't try it.   Enjoy watching it.  This past weekend i seen some good racing.  Just when you think you figured it out.  She will bite you lol

Oh   Walls and Cement barriers scare me  :omg:

You should have a governed engine or aluminum flywheel on it for safety sakes. I know that there are no real rules, but we as racers do not like being put in unsafe conditions. Be low and wide because it will come up on 2 wheels very quickly. My FXT even comes up in the corners.

i know glens right about that but i say atleast have gear and kill switch personal getting ran over by your mower if you fall off will be worse since we bicycle.

I do have a arc wheel on it, and I follow the US rules for safety. It hurts to much and I don't heal the quick anymore! My racer is way lower than what US allows, that's part of the reason I ask about the rules [dirt devil rules]. I got to try the indoors at least once so I can say I did it weather I do it again or not! Are you going Glenn?

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving it a try. It's a ton of fun and the people running the show and racers are GREAT! Just run at your own pace to get some "syrup seat time" and you will be fine. IMO
