Briggs Flathead / 10.5 hp carb question.
« on: June 10, 2014, 10:08:29 pm »
How do i determine that the walbro carb on my 10.5 hp is the stock carb that came  from the factory? The class im racing is telling me it is not and i have to run the 1 piece flowjet. The rules state i must use the stock carb. I am certain it is the stock carb, i just cant prove it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Coffee Shop / How long to build
« on: May 25, 2014, 10:18:37 am »
Ok every1, heres the question. How fast do u think that u could build a competitive machine for a stock class using stock parts with budget of about 100 buks. U have a welder and a fairly equipd shop. Im on my third tractor and my average i figure would b about 40 hours start to finish. Thats including freeing siezed wheels and axle widening etc. With a crappy paint job lol.

Honda and Clone Engines / Gx 340/390 valve springs.
« on: March 29, 2014, 07:07:59 pm »
Hi all. Just throwing it out to any1 who is upgrading the valve train on 340s, the installed height of each valve spring are not the same. The intake valve height is about .060" taller than the exhaust valve due to the casting of the spring seat in the head being that much lower and the use of a stock shim on the exhaust side.  So if your looking into valve springs keep in mind u will need about .060" of shim for the intake side so they are both set at the same seat pressures. Can any1 tell me if the same is true for gx 390s?

Honda and Clone Engines / Gxv 390 flywheel
« on: February 22, 2014, 07:53:10 pm »
After much research and hours scouring part numbers, I still can't find a definite answer whether the billet gx390 flywheel will fit the gxv 390 vertical. Anyone know for sure from experience before I buy 1? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
