These are what I used. The spiggot mount requires no specific mount. I use hose available at NAPA sold by the foot. I modified an intek aluminum manifold to mount them.

2 cents worth and don't know how much good it will do you, but I have and still run duals on the inteks.  Don't really care what you put it on or how you abbreviate it, they run well. I run the Mikunis because of the adjustability. A slightly modified seems to run better on 26mm.  The round slides are all I have used. They are cheaper and easy to find. I am sure there are gonna be contrasting points of views but again, this is what works for me.

While you are on this subject, how far from the bores edge and what diameter wire would one recommend?

Tank, I know the deal you are talking about. The factory edge is razor sharp. I cut a couple getting them over the journal. The last time I had it apart I radiused the edge and scotchbright to finish it up and the seal goes on great now. Dont know if this is what Lester is dealing with or not. Just 2cents worth.

We should be at Maxville speedway on US301 on Sat. 23 if you want to look at a few builds. There will be several different type setups and anyone will be glad to help you!

Yea, they are regular foam UNI filters. I keep em clean though. The carbs are true Mikuni VM 28round slide bore with 210 main jets. They run very well although probably would benefit more motor than I have. I like the adjustability most. The manifolds are from a modified intek 40 aluminum manifold. They are a little tight but fit for the sheet metal I run.

I run a 40 intek and had to drill another hole in the linkage arm so it had enough stroke. Don't know if this will help yours though.
