Sounds like an anti fire switch.

I removed the nut where the wire goes into the carb and removed the needle and spring.

Same size and bolt pattern as stock but off a cub cadet.

I have regular turf tires on my stock rims.

I still mow the grass with this tractor.

Briggs Flathead / hard to start engines
« on: August 07, 2006, 07:39:29 pm »
model - 289707

type - 0154 01

code - 9303244E

12.5hp I/C Briggs

Got it for free and has a rough looking carb but i think it can be cleaned up after replacing a small broken piece.

It started after turning over just a few times on starter fluid with no gas feed and ran for about 5 seconds.

My question is why does it turn over hard? especially in one certin spot.

Is this a valve problem?

How do I fix it?

Tony

Just atv tires on your rims will make it way more capable.

I think wider tires with lower pressure hook up best.

I like snow hogs on the front.

what side rimes do you have front and rear?

Curious to how you measure the speed accurately.

That is haulin some grass right there.

My car is singing at 90 mph.

I would fear for my life on any of the mowers pictured above.

Driveline / 700 Series transmission?
« on: July 28, 2006, 04:30:27 pm »
I noticed there are many differnt variations in the peerless 700 tranny.

Some are cheaper than others.

Which one of these are the best?

Why the difference in cost?

Will any of these work?

Where can I purchase the sprocket for the drive?

Thanks,
Tony
