Briggs Flathead / stock 28cid crank strength

recently gained access to a small cnc machine I'm machining a head but I don't know if the crank will like 11 to 1 compression if not 12.0.1 espcially with a heavy cam. anyone have some experience with this?.

Briggs Flathead / how do you get rid of threads in exhaust port ?

recently ported the intakes and the exhaust im wondering how to get rid of the ridges in the exhaust im thinking of welding somehow like brazing or a low heat weld .one will it work and two will it hold, three whats risk of damaging weakening  the block?

Briggs Flathead / model 28 wrist pin question

the wrist pin I have is for a model 252707 its from a .030 kit im using the previous piston with a new set of rings .the problem is when installing the pin it seems a little too snug in the piston and the connecting rod moves but it takes a tiny bit of effort . ive built a few chevy 350's and one or two pontiac 400's but this seems a little out of place.  :confused:

finally built the motor she's all prepared for her first run. I just have no clue of how to break it in?!? any tips george,don ,rooster would be greatly appreciated. I have royal purple break in fluid an several quarts of straight 40 racing oil.

I picked up this motor awahil ago it runs great thinking of building it. I'm wondering if I can put the oil pump and system on it.and changing the carb.is it worth the build?

im building a 12hp briggs stock prepared for vo tech any pionters would be really heplful. im thinking of putting a 18hp carb on it flywheel key valve springs and retainers, ported the intake a little and an e3 spark plug
