Anyone know the part number for the small mag journal crank for a vertical 30 cube Vanny twin?  I ordered a new crank with the model info I had but ended up with the large journal.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / 33CI AVS HELP!

We put together a full blown race motor (cam, head, crank, EC carb and a billet flywheel) and I CAN NOT get it to start.  I have built numerous mower race engines without a problem but this is the first AVS race engine and I am having nothing but problems.  Have fuel-spark-air and compression, the starter will spin the engine and it will pop out the exhaust and through the carb.  Sounds like the timing is way off, flywheel has the AVS hub and is all the way negative.  Have to get a new degree wheel since I lost the one I had when we moved apparently.  Anyone think of anything I'm missing??  I have NEVER had a problem like this with any other engine I have built, I'm stumped..

This engine is a full pressure line engine, drilled through the crank to oil top and bottom journal as well as the rod journal.  Anyone ever take the slinger out being it is pressure lubed?  Would there be any advantage as far as less drag on engine?

Coffee Shop / USLMRA and ARMA frame width question in FXS/FXT

Well, I started building my chassis and apparently while welding my tack welds didn't hold my frame rails solid enough and when I finished welding and let it cool my rails had pushed out to 15-1/8" with 15" being max.  Just wondering if there was a little cushion in it as long as it wasn't excessive and considering powder coating can add width to many of the bare frames when assembled.  I don't want to cut this thing all back apart but if I need to them so be it

Chassis / FXS/FXT Axle help?

I'm in the process of building an FXS but am having quite a time getting the angles right on the front axle to get enough drop in it and keep my 11* KPI.  Anyone have any tips they want to share on building one of these axles?

Hey guys, been away from the sport for awhile and getting back into it.  Since I sold my B/P I have been itching to build an FXS and I am finally doing it.  Can you guys help me decide between the gx390 or the Briggs 33??  What are advantages and dis advantages of both setups??

What is the clearance between the crank journal in the pan and the crank, .003?  I keep finding the reject dimensions but can't find what the clearance should be.  Can someone help me ASAP?!

Curious how you guys are venting the AVS blocks?  Do you guys vent them like the old Flattys and Non-AVS engines?  Leave the PCV valve under the flywheel?

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Briggs 33ci single head?

I have a stock 33 that I am I talking the billet flywheel onto with stock everything else.  What would be the most I could cut the head to up the compression at tad without throwing the rocker geometry off?  I am building a motor for the local Outlaw class and this is just a motor to run to keep the field numbers up while I complete the race engine.  I was thinking of cutting no more that .020-.030 off.
