but really does it have to look perfect? just as long as its not got dirt caked to it, which causes it to heat up...performance before looks.

No biggie, your gonna replace that one anyway...

Spin it and count out your Transaxle ratio..

i know i'm gonna replace it. but it rubs up against that plate. and i cant get that plate off. the bolt is tucked right under the pulley. and i have to get a wrench under the pulley and it wont allow me too. i have also tried to get that pulley off to get the plate off but i cant...i've even tried tapping the wrench and a socket with a mallet...no luck

You don't need belts...You plan on going out and beating on this thing some more..??

What parts are rubbing..?? Take them off you don't need them either..

i know it doesn't require belts. the two back pulleys are rubbing. so took the one with the spring off. and then the plate that holds it is rubbing up against it. the pulley coming off the transaxle appears to be bent

What do you need a belt pattern for..??

Don't go buying a belt until you get you pulley situation figured out..

Which means you need to get your transaxle situation figured out

i realize that. i want to make sure i have the correct pattern. it doesn't seam right. they rub together..therefore i couldn't get the ratio figured out.

When placed in highest available gear, How many turns of input pulley to get 1 turn of axle

Best done on ground with both wheels touching/rolling, turn pulley, count turns.

This is assuming you are running a transaxle..?? and not a Tranny/cart axle..?

does this require belts? lol

If you mean can you put the engine pulley on the rear and visa versa, then I doubt it   the bore size will be different. I would probably go with a 3 1/2 on the trans to prevent slippage

i know it will be diff. i understand that i will have to buy new pulleys either way. i'm asking if i can buy a 6 inch for the front and a 3 for the back. basicly flopping the sizes around. would that make a difference. or could i get the sizes and somebody help me decide? thanks for all the help guys. i appreciate it all.

alright i will do that thank you very much. i have another question about pulleys. this isn't the exact measurement just an example. say i have a 6 in in back and a 3 inch in the front. can i just switch sizes like make the 6 inch in front and 3 in back. i realize i'd need to buy new pulleys cause of patterns. but would that do wat it takes? thanks
