info help please have a built tvt-691 engine ,is it possible to take remove everything from this engine and install into a horizontal engine and if so what block or engine would i be looking for in order to do this .Trying to keep down spending a lot when i already have a built engine already .Engine has alot of work and time in it .any help would be appreciated .

thanks ever one for response ,yes Gearge your thumbs did do the heads and should be clear that it wasn`t ecc fault just MINE not getting it rite .bought the carbs from a friend of yours not his problem either just MINE.Just lastly the tunning of them and the push rods were coming out of the rockers yes i do believe it was a monster but the top end valve train and tunning is a stumper .
George.I thought they called you superman and you have a cape an fly .

thanks for the response ,i guess may have to do some engine swapping running 1 1/8 shaft crank in one engine and another engine in 1 inch shaft but never could get the engine running good enough for racing it was a tecumseh twin that ecc did for me but never could get the carbs rite in sync ,my fault though .George ,if i would cut the crank and find a splined collar for the key way ,down to one inch would that possibly work or would balance of weight on crank ,throw engine off balance .Just a thought .

From last post so what are people running for a clutch on these super modifieds that use vertical engines ,or is that the answer only horizontals in this class or a new engine that has a 1 inch shaft .Ive seen vertical in the build section and i must say some of these machines are really nice looking.

Tim ,maybe i was not clear but using a v-twin mower engine and am wondering what people are using clucth wise and more info on these modified mowers thank for the reply .

need to ask for a little help on these modifieds ,clutch wise for a ragb do you all run a pull clutch or centrifigal for a horizontal engine . Also were would the clutch if a centrifigal clutch go if using a engine that has a crank shaft 1 1/8 ,haven`t seen any clutch bore over 3/4 inch .Thanks for help in advance .Want to build one to race next year and a veteran racer coming back to racing.
