I had it made. It holds a quart and a half. Donny bailey made it. I found him on ebay. He makes tanks to order. His user name is do4uss i believe. Excellent welding and a vented cap. Its 5 inch od and 7 inches long. Has 1/4 inch pipe thread in the bottom.

He live 2 miles from me. You wont find to many tig welders better than him.

looks great!!!   A set of Simulated bead locks would look awesome on the back of that.Weld a steel ring to the inside dish of your rim by the bead, drill and tap it and then bolt a aluminum disk on it a half inch bigger than the O.D. of you rim.  Just and Idea to give you some work to do. lol

I would put it in. It will make it much more rigid.  Easier to set a rigid chassis up.

Coffee Shop / Re: govenor question
« on: January 02, 2011, 06:27:54 pm »
No it will give you less power out of the corner. That is the governors job to keep it right at 3650. A throttle stop will allow the engine to go below 3650 coming out of the corner, thus making it bog down.
Go mow your yard and watch the throttle shaft on the carburetor when you get in thick grass. That is what the Governor does coming out of a corner.

What about a Good piston? I'm going to have a good one. I would say the block will go. I blew the jug off my last flat head.

Tires / Re: Rear tire and rim question
« on: December 23, 2010, 01:47:39 pm »
I run 6"wide rims on my SP,love them. Little engine = little tires in my opinion. I run 15x6.50x8" tires. No need for a wide tire on a Sp in my opinion. No one is spinning tires down the strait in that class.  Its another ford/Chevy debate. But i will stay with a ford, lol i like to win haha

Chassis / Re: Billet Caliper???
« on: December 20, 2010, 10:47:13 pm »
I have had good luck with MCP in the past and would like to stay with them. Im building a new mower and want the fancier parts on it.
Ok, so the way i understand this is that... I want a single line billet master cylinder, going to a single line billet caliper?   caliper #MCP1375SEB  on aps karting and master cylinder #MCP3750B
I also Have E.C. front brakes. I would like to run the same style master cylinder for them to. Would a single line work good for the front brakes?   Thanks for the help.

check out mcp# 1375p187 fits 3/16'' rotor!

That looks like what i was wanting but they only come in red. I want black lol.

That is what i was thinking. I cant seem to find a dual line caliper that is black and billet. Does anyone know if a single line can be converted to a dual line?

Chassis / Billet Caliper???
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:05:11 pm »
I am getting ready to order a new brake caliper. I currently have the std MCP caliper.  I am wanting the nice billet, black caliper though.  I was wondering if the mini lite caliper would have the same stopping power as the STD caliper? I am also going to be running a 10'' X3/16 rotor. I am wanting to stay with MCP brand.

Briggs Flathead / Re: OHV intake
« on: December 19, 2010, 07:30:37 pm »
I took the ohv intake and drilled new holes in it. I used a gasket to transfer the holes. Then counter bored the intake to clear a cap head bolt. No adapter is needed.

Driveline / Re: V- belts
« on: December 13, 2010, 11:24:23 pm »
I run the weld on tsc pulleys. That take the A,B belts. I ran 1/2'' belts for 2 years and would have to change belts every other race. I switched to 5/8'' belts and can go several races on the same belt, with no noticeable wear. I didn't notice any power lose  by the 5/8'' belt either,it don't slip a bit.  Aluminum Pulleys may be light but they hold in lots of heat causing the belts to get hot also.
