Chassis / Re: Clutch/ breaks help!!
« on: November 28, 2013, 07:57:32 pm »
One more.......I have the brake on the right and on the steering wheel. It is very handy on the steering wheel as I can load the brake just enough when I need it and the driveline clutch, gears, and belt all stay "Loaded" and I feel contribute to recovery speed. I can do this without ever letting off the gas.

Huffy i come from a racing atv background. I am also considering putting my brakes on my steering wheel. Do you have any pics of your set up?

Coffee Shop / List Of Tracks and Groups by Location
« on: November 28, 2013, 06:22:49 pm »
I think there should be a list of tracks and groups by location. I have never seen one, if there is one of these someone please let me know. I think this list could be handy for everyone, especially the newcomers. So sound off everyone what tracks and groups are around you? I will start things off. Will try and keep list updated.

Driveline / Borg-Warner T-92????
« on: September 01, 2009, 02:40:11 am »
Has anyone ever tried one of these transmissions in a race mower? I found an old mower called a Bready. It has a Borg-Warner t-92 transmission in it. These transmissions also came in Power King  and Jim Dandy lawn tractors and get this they were used in those little Crosley cars and even some early fords. If they were used in some cars they would surely have to be able to upshift and downshift.

I do not think that anyone is trying to discourage you from trying this. The thing is that if someone wanted to buy a chassis, i think they would want to buy it from someone with experience building or racing them. U have never built or raced a mower before. Put yourself in the buyers shoes. Would you buy from someone who has built lots of mowers and raced them and proved they preformed well or someone who never raced at all? There are people who build and sell frames already. Not being smart at all, just did not know if you knew this or not. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide. I say you should build one and either race it yourself or get you a driver. When you put it in the winners circle you will have a lot better chance of selling your product.
