Newcomers / Hi all im a newbie in the lawnmower raceing world and need help!!

Hi all I'm a newbie and need some help I'm thinking of running in the GP class (stock governed) just what do I need to do to the chasis and engine to be able to race USLMRA GP class?
for starters I have an old weed eater 36"cut 12HP power built engine and a 6 speed trans and a spare Tecumseh 700 transmission. but need to find out just where to start and go from there.
help please???

I need to see if I can get some information on building a 12 HP Flat Head Briggs & Stratton what is available for it and where to get the  necessary parts for it.
I'm looking to try to go with a forged crank, rod, piston, cam, flywheel. Ext.
Can anyone help me out with this please.
I'm looking to stay stock with it for now just trying to make it hold up to the beating that they get.
Or any information on just what I need to do to be able to race it with the USLMRA and keep it legal.
