im getting a 1982 kawaski fb460v for my legend mower. but need some specs first.  pretty sure it a flathead but is it 28 cubic inch or no.
also how goood are these engines.  thx guys for any feedback

Yes it is a flathead and yes it's 28ci. They made 2 versions one splash oiler and one pressure lube. The pressure lube is the most desirable. They do run real well with good flow in the ports and head. Better than the Briggs 28ci. Hope this helps. We used to to a lot of then here in Michigan. I also have some parts left if you are interested.

AL,he is in Northern NY,and the Legend class is a stock goverened class

the fb460v im getting is from 1982 john deere im located in rochester ny
well good im glad the engine is good people. people say the briggs are better.   i just got done welding my frame up on my 2013 yt3000 craftmens so next im going to do steering then proplly drive line then engine last.  think this legend class will be great for rookies like me that have no clue what were doing.
