Tires / Re: tire pressure
« on: May 21, 2013, 07:51:48 pm »
This question will get you about a million different answers.  It all depends on mower setup, tire type, tire compound, track conditions, etc.  Usually I run the same amount of pressure in the fronts and 4 lbs more in the right rear than the left rear.  This is where I start and adjust depending on how it is handling.  I know none of this really gives you the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps you understand the previous responses.

I own a small arsenal of weapons of various types.  I prefer handguns, but I am just as comforable with the long guns.  My passion is cannons and one of these days I will own one.  Of my current weapons, my favorite is my Taurus Raging Bull 454 Casull.  Everytime you pull the trigger it feels like someone smacked you with a hammer, but it gets the adrenaline running.

all im sayin is that i think you all take mower racin way too seriously

Even though I know it was not the owner of the account that posted this, I would still like to comment on this as I hear it all the time.  Please note that this is my personal opinion; when you participate in a sport or event that has the possibility of killing you, you should take it seriously.  Carelessness and arrogence is what hurts people, and in my opinion, if you do not have at least a little fear of what your non-stock mower can do then you do not respect the machine that you a placing your life on.  Just my 2 cents.

Hey George looked through your photobucket and I see a fresh track, yours? How big? The supermod looks GREAT!

Fresh track is Stevenson, AL...  This is where the All American is going to be this year.

From the All American Thread...  Track is 180 ft straights, 30 foot radius turns, 30ft wide on straights, 40 foot wide on turns.

Noticed they have a trade-in program. Wonder if I could trade-in my truck, house, dog, or wife.  Well maybe not the dog.  Err...Um... I mean maybe not the wife.   :D

How many laps consecutively?

Assuming they are running 20 lap features, 120 consecutive laps.  He has a break between Super Stock and Sportsman.

Traction 101:
1: Install tires on rims, any tire, doesn't matter.
2: Air up to approximately past flat.
3: Install one George (that's the secret ingredient)

4. Fine tune with chicken until desired traction is met....  :noplease:

Chassis / Re: How much does your mower weigh??
« on: January 14, 2010, 10:25:58 pm »
Haven't really weighed them but I will say this... Our two mowers weigh more than my wife and less than me and since I can pick them up I would say they are under 350 lbs.... If I were a betting man, I would say they run about the same as George's Red Super-Sportsman and Pro-X.
