valve lash more than likely is not set proper, set lash with piston 1/4" past tdc, there is videos on youtube, this is common description on engines with lash not set proper

sounds like the easiest most effective thing to do would get an engine that you know something about, that's probably not what you want to hear, but  would save a lot of headaches

Who else is camping at the KOA?    I'm calling for reservations tomorrow.   Wondering who is in what site.    I will be getting a full hook up RV site.  Wouldn't mind being next to some racers!
We've got a tent site, but we'll come hang with you if you'll let us!

I wish I could say it is growing in our area, but I can't. Many are showing interest however no new mowers, however we try to travel to O.K. mower racing once a month and Harold is doing something right!!!! The 3 hour drive is worth the trip and always a great time, I always look forward to the great bunch of people there and it's always great when they come to our track!! His (our) group down there is growing and his facility is becoming a premier place to race!!!!

To answer my own question, the NAPA part # is 13649, just putting this out there in the case it will help somebody else out or for me to reference the next time I need it. :bash:

I drew mine out on a poster board, then used a carpenters adjustable square to find the angles I had to use

« on: March 10, 2017, 11:51:04 am »
12tooth and 48 tooth sprockets would be 8 to 1 final ratio with the above pulley selection and gear selection in the ec tranny(3rd gear being 25-25 tooth gears )
that's right, was trying to remember off the top of my head, and I know somebody mentioned tire diameter, and that is the rules but will have nothing to do with gear ratio

You can go on EC speed calculator and throw numbers at it and get a good starting point, I think with EC trans in 3rd gear, 6" on engine, 4" on trans, 12 tooth on trans and 44 tooth on axle is pretty close
