I have a 17hp briggs in mine and come in 1st and 2nd almost every race all I have is flywheel cam and billet dog bone

Looking to put brass weights and billet rod in briggs 28 ohv
Can I use the stock bushing or do I need to put in bearings and also will the stock piston fit the 28 billet rod and what do I need to make it work

Would 6 motor 3 trans work better then 8 motor and 5 trans? I just don't feel like I get much out of the corners feels like it's slipping and I know it's not the belt because it's tight

It's giving me a lot of problems it turns over but once it hits the compression stroke it just stops any ideas on how I can fix that
