I don't know if its correct or not but I have seen some just un hook the weights from the end of the cam and pull the rod out but like I said I have not done this I just bypassed the linkage

I have 2 questions.

What do you set the gap between the fly wheel and coils at. 

What can I do to get some performance out of my single barrel Nikki carb. I plan to upgrade to the 23hp heads and 2 barrel at the end of the season I'm just trying to get it up and running right now.

I cant open these files for some strange reason. all i really need is the torq specs for the rod bolts of a 18hp vanguard thanks

I got an 18hp vanny horizontal shaft with a bad crank. A guy in my club has a vertical shaft motor with a bad piston and head he says I can have. The question is will his vert shaft fit in my horizontal block? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
