You can do one of three things:

1. You can machine it to fit the piston pin.
2. You can use 40ci intek pistons.
3. You  can use forged pistons.

It depend on your track rules! :woo:

Driveline / Re: Jack shaft chain sides
« on: August 21, 2013, 07:59:35 am »
Ok so ive been seeing alot of guys running the jack shaft and chain to rear axle all on o e side and then ive seen alot of guys running the clutch to jack shaft on the clutch side then the jack shaft to rear axle on the opposite side, whats better? I think the 2 opposite sides look better but what does it do for performance?

I have seen both types used. It is a personal choice on which works the best.
I build with the opposite setup because it stays parallel.
The same side set up would give your a small weight advantage. It also  has to have a strong mount or it will throw the chain.

Anyone know the shaft diameters on this box ??

Thanks
Ian
They should be 7/8" input and 3/4" output. EC has the same one.

Are you sure the electric pump were pumping fuel?
Some use the eletric pumps to recycle oil from burp tank back to crankcase.

Driveline / Re: front brake question
« on: January 17, 2013, 12:26:40 am »
sure what you need to do will depend on which brakes you use example EC front brakes just have a 3/16 keyway cut into the spindle.

I did this on two different front set ups. Put the spindle togather and mark the location of the keyway. Take dremel and grind it out. Make sure that it is center on the spindle. Watch your depth. In is best to go slow and get the right fit. I did a hagar and mcp setup. Each one had a different keyway.
Good luck.

Have you tried the EC 700 Trans? George tried to blow it up and could not.
What is breaking in the trans?

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: Vanguard sump gasket blowing
« on: August 07, 2012, 03:44:18 pm »
Make sure the dowels fit tight in their holes. If they are loose, it let the cover move and will break the gasket. I found that on my SuperMod engine. Put two new dowels and no more problems.
