Parr-dune my ignoramusness, but I've read in previous posts a couple times that making the oppy threaded exhaust SMALLER(!) by putting in a 3/4" pipe nipple flush with the block actually INCREASES the amount of work (torque) the oppy puts out? A low-rpm hard-twisting engine is what I want, thus my interest in the oppy twin. This reduction is counter-intuitive to my understanding of port and polish, but I can take it on faith from wiser minds and do it if that statement is correct. Any more I could do to make the oppy a strong-twisting low revving engine? I have Don's DVD, and the oil mods are a must, as is adding slickeryness to the ports. (man, would that reduction cause a poo-storm about pumping losses in my other engine groups...)
