No thinner than the oil land to 2nd ring land. Ruffly.080 Yes you can get a .035 or .062 copper head gasket. Ryker Racing sells the gaskets.

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: Safe rpm's

You want to turn your rpms to what the cam was made for. What billet cam do you have?
I would ask the builder when the power comes in and runs out. A cheetah grind maxes around 7500rpm some of Dyno’s billet cams go to 9500rpm. If built right can turn the vanguard 10000+rpms on the track with heavier springs.
And they sound awesome at 9000+

Arc racing ,Ec disturbing , carrier performance have rods ,flywheels, cams, springs , retainers, billet cranks etc etc. parts on Ec are listed by cubic in. 28/31/33 and avs or non avs,
Your 19 hp should be a 33 cube avs, but I would double check your serial #.

Depending on how much valve to piston clearance you have. Using a cheeta cam or something less then 500 lift you could take off .045-.050 tho off more easy. Just puddy the piston when done to double check valve clearances. Wouldn’t go less than .040 to piston.

Cromwell Racing sells the big bore race carb. Stage 3? I Believe it’s from a 35hp Kohler.

400 trans will last a long time. I use 75/140w but you could just use 80/90. You can use both sides of output. There’s a parts list on Here for all the bearings and washers, seals. I’ve never turned one on it’s side , won’t last long as it won’t get oil to needle bearings on pinion shaft. I put a 1/8th pipe thread drain plug in bottom and a breather vent on top, then you good to go. I’ve put all kinds of rpm on trans never blew one up yet.

6”-12” wise rears will have faster acceleration out of corner and 15-16” rears will have more of a longer pull down straight. Bit more traction

The 33 is a better head but you would have to cc 28/31/33 head to see if there is a difference in camber size
