Yeah I kind of figured facebook played a factor in it but still figured most would come here. I hadn't been on in a while, in fact the reason I logged in was I had gotten a message so I came to check it.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum!  :D

Lol not really but has been a while. Got out of mowers several years ago and started a business 4 years ago so rarely have time to get on here. Not to mention in my spare time I'm usually working on my racecar. Been kicking the idea of maybe building another mower as well. Looks like forum is not as active as it once was, what happened to everyone? I know Super George passed, he usually posted everyday!

Haven't raced in a while. Sold all my mower stuff and almost finished with a new full size car to race some this year.

If the code on engine is before 08 then it had the skeleton rods that were known for doing that. Pretty much all built 08 and after used the 49 cube rods.

If it is for a briggs then it will have the briggs symbol on it somewhere. All that I have seen for a briggs has been this way.

Use an o-ring pick. Works great and that's all I use.

Talk to Tyler Cromwell of Cromwell Racing. I'm sure could hook you up.

Have you checked to make sure both coils are firing?

Remove the #1 spark plug and make sure piston is moving. Its the right side spark plug if engine is mounted with valve covers at front of mower.

Since they are no longer in business you will probably have to get one custom made. About the only other option would be to find someone that once sold Foote parts and hope they have some NOS.

Every transmission I used in a mower had a whining sound and most others I've seen do as well. I wouldn't worry about it.

Sitting on the mower, is clutch on the right hand side? Not the pedal but the actual clutch.

I took my old seals to my local NAPA and they matched them up. Been using the same seals for a while now but normally I prefer a National seal. Those number can be cross referenced to another brand I'm sure.
