Title: bias ply mower tires/stock tires
Post by: Mickey mower makin on September 19, 2017, 04:35:27 am
How do the stock mower tires(bias ply) handle at high speed do they roll or twist on turns like bias slicks? Does anyone use slicks and would the Carlisle smooth bias tires work for slicks?

We all use threaded tires. We use tires for 8 inch rims, or 6 inch rims depending on the organization. If you want to keep the rear rear 8 inch rims, you can use 15x6.50-8s, 16x6.50-8s, or 16x7.50-8s. If you are willing to get some rear kart rims, you can use 15x6.00-6s, 13x6.50-6s, or 13x5.00-6s

True drag slicks r bias tires and they coil up at take off and if u turn at high speed the sidewalls flex alot n roll. Does this Happen with mower tires cause most I see r bias ply even the  turf master or Carlisle smooth tires that I'm planning on

I have never had an issue with sidewall flex if you get a small sidewall tire.
