I like the color of the wheels. would probably look nice with a dark blue or black paint on the body

just remember its hard to shut down a mower with just a toggle switch when the machine is laying on top of you. Been there and its not cool. might want to reconsider the kill device

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / Re: model 28 vangaurd oil issue
« on: May 23, 2011, 10:15:49 pm »
oil level is just above the add line now and no leaks, ran it for an hour and had no problems, i will run it a few more times and hope all goes well, if keeping the oil level at a minimum keeps it from puking then i will replace the head gasket. thank you everyone who has helped and i will try to remember to post back on the issue, so that we dont have answerless threads on the site

May have a blown head gasket.
Was not hoping to hear that, this is in a front engine snapper and engine is mounted with plug side towards the dash, meaning i will have to pull her out to replace. could valves being out of adjustment cause this?

Briggs OHV & Vanguard / model 28 vangaurd oil issue
« on: May 22, 2011, 10:00:25 pm »
have a model 28 vangaurd it runs great with no smoke and great compression, but once it gets warmed up it starts misting oil out from the bottom side of the breather vent. I have tried 2 different breathers and a new gasket and a used gasket with the same result. If this helps anyone out when i got it it would run great till warm then blow oil everywhere out of the breather, well it doesnt do that anymore due to the fact i think the oil level was to high. any suggestions? bothe surfaces on the breather and the block look good with no cracks or pits between surfaces

that would almost be like using a battery to run a power inverter that is powering a battery charger that is hooked to the same battery. you could never create as much power as you need to actually charge the battery
