Lookin good, George!  Dang, I didn't know they made kart seats that BIG!!! :lmfao:  I like the way the chute for the mower deck makes a place to hook your heel into. I don't suppose your gonna have it ready for the finals next weekend?

Lookin Sweet George!  Are you gonna have to hang a ballast weight on the rear to get a bite like Ryan or is your built into the design.   :P

It will go where ever I go next year. My game plan is to allow some to take a ride to promote the class. I figure with the seat I got in it most can fit it for a couple laps...

HAHA...I didn't know they had em that big either. It was a special order that had to order extra plastic to fill the new mold they built just for me.... It won't be ready for finals. However after this past weekend all I like is master cylinders (2) add motor and wiring and build an exhaust. Don't have a centrifugal clutch yet... Funds are depleted. I am planning a regular manual clutch to get it going. So in essence all I really have to buy at this point are the Master cylinders and clutch.

Jack I wear my additional weight. Traction is not something I generally have an issue with. I do not have the race tires for it initially it will use the turf pros. I do have a set of hoosier slicks I may try IF i have it running by the All American. I plan too have it ready one way or another.

16x7.5x8 turf pros on 8x8 wheels. I also have a set of 15x7x8 hoosier race slicks on 8x8 wheels for it for those smooth tacky clay tracks.

Did some more work. Added a dash thought it would look good. I think it does.. Plus gives me a better spot to mount some things.

Used a hub with a quick release one we sell at work. Makes it easier to get out by removing the wheel and laying it on the dash.

Here ia another view of the steering wheel and dash in place.

Well me and jake built the exhaust today. We ran up to the shop (EC) and we learned how to use the tubing bender together.

Here is a bit closer look at the headers as the come off the heads.

As ya know the motor is in backwards so the exhaust comes out the left side of chassis then forward to the front and around the motor.

here is a view from the front. Nothing left except a collector. Not to shabby least ways me and jake like it.

Here is the shot down between the legs. Fuel tank is mount there, air filter tucks in there nicely, although I somehow missed my measurement when putting the cross bar in which has the tank mounted to it. I had to raise the engine 3/4 inch for the filter to fit in right. BUT it made making the exhaust bends off the header a bit easier. Anyhow nothing left but clutch (manual) not centrifugal, wiring it up, collector on exhaust, mounting master cylinder and pedals run brake line, and fuel lines. Hope to race it this weekend for the first time.

Hail I am anxious to get it finished never took this long to build a mower ever. Been 8 months in the making. BUT this is a way different build than anything I have done in the past. May be a piece of junk but it sure looks good so far.

Well we rode it today put prolly 30 laps on it Jake got to ride first. And I went second. Shaft from ragb moved a bit worked on that!! Ratio was good but belt was slipping. Went and bought a 4" the 3.5 wasn't gonna get it on the motor. So we re did that. Had an exhaust leak and found a flange hole had broke out so have to change heads in the morning. Even with the belt slipping though keeping the front on the ground off the corners was a job. And this was on grass. But for a first day it was good even with all the lil  issue's. But was a good first test.
