I am getting ready to build me a super modified and I was wondering if it had to be an offset chassis or can I just build the chassis straight up with both wheels equal spaced like we build regular chassis?

The rules states 42" max width. IF you use offset then its specific in the measurements center to left outside sidewall 19" and center to right outside sidewall 23. So if your not using offset the it has to be equal measurements from center of frame to both sidewalls. It does not have to be 42" wide it is the max allowed.

I guess I didn't understand it this way. I am building a supermod also. So I am building it at 20 on the left and 21 on the right. This would not be ARMA legal?
