« on: July 19, 2006, 02:33:29 am »
Do I want a #40 or #41 chain for my peerless 700? What's the difference?

Where do you buy them?

Thanks,

I was wondering the same thing as well. So I did a search.

I am sure someone will chime in with a good source for chain.

I searched for "chain #40" and found too many, then I searched for "#40" and "#41" and didn't get any. I should have searched for "chain size", but didn't think of it. I guess the search thing is wiping out the # character.

if u have #41 sprockets then u can use #40 or #41 chain but if u have #40 sprockets u can only use #40 chain

#41 chain is narrower so when u try to use it in the wider sprockets it just dont fit

and u willl notice when u use #40 chain on a #41 sprocket the chain is loose on the sprocket it meshes the same but it is able to wonder a bit moe on the sprocket .

hope it dont confuse u
