Right Angle Gear Boxes?

A  friend  of  mine  is    telling  me  to  go  with a  right  angle  gear  box...and  I  have  no  clue  about  these...any  help.....Thanks

Do   You   think  it  is  the  way   to  go.......I  have   the  peerless   on  my  56   I  am  thinking  about  using....but  he  seems   to  think  this  is   the  best????

The  group  here  in  Kansas   is  Modified......all   the  rules  say  is  that  it  has  to  be  a  Trans  from  a  lawnmower...and   I  believe  the  one  I  am  looking  at  came  from  a  Bolens?

Won't find many "right angle gear box" that came in a mower...(there are some front drive units) better luck finding a tranny and running a straight axle...

Ok.....I  am  gonna  stick   with   the  orignal  plan  of  the  Trans  and  Axle  set  up   then.......The  One   that  showed  up  today  off  the  big  Brown Truck........it's  been  like  Christmas  here  all  week....axles  brakes   hubs...new  motor  ...........The  Truck  driver  and  me  are  on  a first name  basis  now!

ive seen a right angle gearbox on a mower not as a drivetrain part but as a deck drive part ill see if i can find a pic of a mower deck with one on it

I think them comes on aries lawnmowers...It will work but you need a go kart clutch on sprocket side..I have seen one done like this..

all our supermods in soltra run theese exact gearboxes with their opposed twins lmao a awesome combination wut u do is run a say 4 on motor and a 7 on tranny u sing rthe stock clutching system  then after u run ur selected sprockets to ur kart axel
