Are they for a 42CI?? What different bout them and stock ones?

They are slightly longer than the 42 ones, but putting the 40 rods in and shaving the piston is a popular mod

I've read that someone crushed in the middle of their piston this way.

you do run into danger of caving the piston if you shave much more than 50 thou off
