Kawasaki 460 won't start

I  just  bought  my  2  John Deere 160's   to  start  a racing  mower....one  is  complete  other  is  there  but  in  a  box...anyway...the  good  one  wont  start...it  is  getting  fuel....but  the  spark  is  weak  and  only  jumps  the  plug  when  the  gap  is  under.010.....can  anyone  help.....Thanks

P.S.....been   watching  the  site  for  weeks  and  just  joined....this  place  is  awesome   and  you  all  seem  great..Thank  you for  having  me  come  aboard

What do you have for coil...? Points and cond. system or mag/tronic...?

I  believe  it  is  the  Mag Tronic???.....I  am  soooooo new  at  this  please  forgive  me

I got  it  running.....it  was   the  little  chip  about   the  size  of  a  quarter on  the  right  side  of  the  Motor....

Hi Im new hear to and work on john deere for my job.  The little box u replaced is called a igniter and i have replaced several of them on the old 160 175 180 and so on.  They make a big diffrance.

Thanks for  the  replies.....I posted that  a long time ago.....fixed it sold  it   and finished my build since  then......Geeez  How time flys  when  we are having so  much  fun....Thanks again
