Tire Tubes
« on: December 27, 2008, 04:43:15 pm »
I just got a new set of 8x8 Douglas wheels and a set of 16x7.5x8 Turf Pro tires. I have had 2 tubes leak within minutes of putting them in and airing up the tires. What am I doing wrong?

did they actually go flat, sometimes it takes awhile for the air to escape between the tube and tire, they can actually leak quite awhile, if your sure you didnt pinch them or cut them, that is probably the air your hearing!! hopefully, ;)

I agree, if it doesn't stop leaking, then you probably pinched it or got the tube in backwards and tore the valve

Ok one turned out to be air leaking out and the other did have a cut tube. So I should be putting baby powder on the tubes? How can you put one in backwards?

air the tubes up first and figure out which way the valve stem goes, they are offset to one side!! ;)

Also i had a big problem in the start of the 08 season with tubes goign flat slowly and it was the tub keep ahving small rips in it.

The weld on them rims had a few rough spots so i took some duct tape and went around the weld bead about 3 times and ran all season oneone tube and went through 5 before this.
