Heads up fastest wins?
« on: December 11, 2008, 12:44:56 pm »
Do you all run heads up fastest wins or do you bracket race with timing system and dial ins?
What kind of prizes are given out to winners and runner up? What is a good entry fee and do
the racers get discounts for entering more than one class? Sorry not trying to play 21 questions
just cant wait to get something started in O-H-I-O   :woo:

What they have up here is a bracket for each class. Double elimination.  Trophys for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. One for best of show too. Entry fee I believe is like 10 dollars. You can move up one class not down. One mower per person per class. ex. you can have one in stock, and move up to modified stock. You can have a mower for stock, modified, outlaw.

To your rescue Jenny!  I'm here!  We also use a signal light for stagging (red, yellow, green).  The City of Seymour Chamber of Commerce donated a frozen turkey to each class winner at our last drag race.  You strippers in OHIO, may want to poke around for a few sponsors.  Quart of oil, gas card, ect.. it all helps in attracting racers to come to your event.  Most radio's will broadcast non-profit plug's for you too!  Good luck, and above all, SAFETY first!!  TexasMower5

we also have a staging light and a electronic thing at the end that lights up a light who ever crosses it first. so there is no need for a photo finish......lol
