Not to bash, but why don't you wear gloves?  Looks like asphalt, could be nasty if you crash.

with only a twelve horse if you lower the front you will not pop more than a 3 inch wheelie on a normal stock mower is what experience has taught us. Alot of our guys use wheelie bars especially the mods but the stocks don't because we never pull that big of  a wheelie .the picture was taken at my first race on that mower i plan on wearing gloves the next time.

Do you have to run turf tires?... do the higher classes run slicks or anythings...

no you do not have to run turf tires. our mod racers race go kart tires and one races slicks.if you guys have anymore question i can answer to the best of my ability.

most are belt driven to a trans- axle. are mods are live axle with chains.

 Mowdown mower sports in Whiteville NC is building a drag strip, they have built a drag mower and I will try to get them to post some pics...

 I am thinking of a way to make my black mower(in the pic to your left) into a drag mower. Now it has a kart motor with a racing kart clutch, I am thinking of trying to use a belt to the jack shaft using a normal clutch like a race mower has. Any ideas?

Use a right angle drive gear box.  There kinda hard to find, but their a 1 to 1 ratio, 3/4" shaft.
