Why not Both?

 I  read that in  a mower enginee flow is better than compression why not have both? if you use a cam that has has both high lift and duration why not throw in a  dome piston( Irealize the piston  has to be higher on one side than the other conturing to the head )  ive seen pistons   like this before ?   .... is no one running high compression ?  Jake

read more. It depends on which motor, flathead or ohv!!!

 George , Sorry being I was on the flathead  forum I assumed everyone knew I was taking about a flathead .  As a matter of fact  I  need to order  a compleat valve train from you i called yesterday but you where in the shop. had to run didnt get a chance to call again , will try again today . theres not much room for dome piston on a flat head on ohv you can have both to a certain point by milling head as far as dome piston I would rather have flat top piston with same cr as dome set up.because a chamber desigh is realy inportant to fight spark knock.theres a lot of things to think about
